Being by the Acheron river in the Epirus region, a warm breeze was touching my body and the fresh water was inviting my heated skin to cool down. According to Greek mythology, the Acheron, known as the river of woe, was one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld. Charon led the souls of the dead via the river to lake Acherousia at the depths of which the kingdom of Hades lay. Despite this dark ancient legend, my experience in the Acheron was simply magnificent! Barefoot and in a total white look, I accomplished the perfect harmony with the scenery. The majestic natural beauty, the bone-chilling crystal waters and the horse riding made this summer day unforgettable! I felt blessed and free… yes, heaven and hell are just one breath away! ♬ ♪ heaven / Emeli Sandé
